During the year 2020, Asharqia Chamber completed more than 1.5 million digital operations for services directly targeted to subscribers, such as "subscriptions, endorsements, commercial services, and various other services", through the digital portal that was launched in response to the exceptional situation resulting from the Corona pandemic that included life in general.

The Chairman of the chamber, Abdul-Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, described this as a "qualitative achievement", which confirms that the chamber has surpassed all the effects of the pandemic through the digital transformation of a large percentage of the Chamber's services to its subscribers. He explained that all this came as a result of the Chamber's keenness represented by the board of directors and the executive body to facilitate all services, and then proximity to the subscriber and meet all his needs to complete his operations easily and easily, so we always strive for continuous development. Introduction, to develop, facilitate and accelerate.

Al-Khalidi added that the Asharqia Chamber is striving to keep pace with the digital transformation that the Kingdom is witnessing in general, which is taking rapid, steady, and accurate steps to achieve the vision of the Kingdom 2030, and works seriously to facilitate all direct and indirect services for the business sector in the region and to help build an effective economy in the development of a prosperous economy for the Kingdom. Noting that the digital transformation in the Asharqia Chamber was not the result of the pandemic, rather it was a goal that was planned for years, and I worked to transform it into an “electronic room”, with evidence that all transactions in the room are carried out in this way, and what happened to the emergency pandemic was that it contributed to the acceleration. In the process, and expanding it further, the results were positive, due to the presence of infrastructure in the room ready for such emergencies.

For this part, the Chamber's Secretary-General, Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel, said that the advancement of services, development in their provision, and creativity in means are among the most prominent concerns and priorities of the Asharqia Chamber since these services are reflected in the performance of the private sector and raise the level of contribution to comprehensive economic development, and support all public national options. During the past year, we have witnessed more development, diversification, and increase in events and occasions, as well as direct services, and we have witnessed an increase in the number of subscribers who exceeded one hundred thousand subscribers during the past year, despite the exceptional circumstances imposed by the Corona pandemic.
